It's a whole new ball game travelling with Fletch and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared. I know I've got no real reason to be. The flight's only an hour and half, Phil will be with me, there's no time difference and we've got the magic potion, the golden juice, the milk.
We get back on Sunday night and then fly out to Sydney Monday night. I'm petrified all this air time will screw up his awesome night-time sleeping. Petrified. I can deal with feral during the day but as I've talked about before, the night times aren't my friend.
I guess what will be, will be.
Everyone keeps saying babies are so easy on planes.
I just hope everyone is right...

We have a flight coming up also and I am feeling as anxious as you are. I am sure you will have no worries. Seriously :) Enjoy your break away and try not to stress too much x
You will be fine! They serve gin... Right? Have a large one x
Wishing you safe - and calm - travels.
Something tells me fleth will be a rockstar jetsetter.
:-) xx
Oh love, sending cool, calm and collected vibes to you. Hope you have a lovely time at the wedding and showing off your beeeeeautiful little man. Just look at him, such a delightfully cheeky character coming out in that face. And just remember, bubs have a way of getting back into a rhythm, even if it is disrupted momentarily xo
Hi Bridget, I'm new to your lovely blog. Welcome to motherhood! A gorgeous little man you have there. Happy travels this weekend - I still think travelling with a newborn is slightly easier than travelling with crawlers/walkers/toddlers/chatterboxes. But the extra worrying about flying with your children on board I totally get. But you'll be fine. Have fun! Mel x
Oh boy, I hear you! We decided it would be a good idea to take our newborn to Germany.... From australia... In a few weeks. I have a phobia of planes and it will be my first unmedicated flight in years. The trip is like a mountain ahead of me but I just keep praying all the people who have said newborns are fine on planes are right....
You will be fine! Fine I tell you!! Woogs gin idea may be beneficial. Don't forget that like birth, you just get on with it, and do it. Think of the "after". Especially in Sydney, with family and friends. So much to look forward too! x
To.
PS - I'm coming to HK for the first week of June. Can't wait!!
I'm sure Fletch will be fine. We never flew with MC until she was 13 months old but we did a 4 hour flight and she was a dream.
We did a 9.5 hour flight and a 5 hour time difference flight in January (when she was 34 months) and she was still a dream.
Babies do tend to do well on flights - the only thing you may find is the pressure in the ears. MC had a dummy though so this helped.
Good luck my dear.
xx
p.s. On blog catch-up after the birth!
You'll do great! He looks like he would be a joy on a plane!
Oh a bit late to comment, happy travels beautiful family, love Posie
